ROSE GATE COTTAGE

Unwind and enjoy old fashioned pleasures such as playing cards or board games, watching a movie, reading, having a simple family meal or just rocking and listening to the sounds of nature. Rose Gate was built as a dream cabin in the woods by my parents, and it continues to shelter and inspire families with its calming beauty. Come as a couple for a romantic getaway, with friends for a fun weekend or with your kids and/or grand kids for a week of memory-making. Whether you enjoy being in the woods with nature all around or prefer to admire it from a window (in an air-conditioned home!), Rose Gate is a perfect choice.

The perfect country get-away home

Custom built with antique pine flooring, decorated with antiques and original artwork. Relax with morning coffee in the front porch rockers, with a cocktail by the fire pit or with a cup of tea and a good book (from our well-stocked shelves) on the world’s comfiest sofa.

Rose Gate Amenities:

Rose Gate Cottage sleeps 8.

• Bedroom #1: king size bed, marble floored bath with walk in shower and double vanities, large closet (iron + ironing board live here with a broom and dustpan), leather sofa
• Bedroom #2: queen size bed, private bath, large closet and a lovely view of the front yard
• Sleeping porch: 2 twin beds surrounded by windows with a glorious view of the wooded back property.
• Fold out futon sofa in the living area sleeps 2
• Kitchen with refrigerator, 4 burner gas stove, wall oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, electric kettle. (*See more detailed kitchen/cooking amenities list below.)
• Dining: There are 2 dining areas. One has a Queen Anne table and 8 chairs, the other a rattan glass topped table with 4 chairs that most guests use as a kid’s table or for more casual dining.
• Living Room: A comfy area with 2 armchairs, 1 down filled lounge chair with ottoman and the world’s comfiest down filled sofa! There’s a television (NO RECEPTION) and DVD player plus loads of movies. Fold out futon sofa sleeps 2.
• Outdoor Lounging Areas: back porch with rockers and glider by the gas grill, front porch with 2 rockers and a bench, lattice room with table and chairs for outdoor dining, back patio with 4 Adirondack chairs and a fire pit.

Kitchen/Cooking Amenities:

• Outdoor gas grill, tongs, spatula
• Kitchen: starter coffee with creamer and sugar, herbal + black tea packets, salt + pepper, hot mitts, dish towels, dish washing soap + cloth, stainless steel saucepans, skillet and pots with lids, nonstick skillet, baking pans, serving spoons, spatula, chef’s knife, paring knife, measuring cups + spoons, can opener, corkscrew, ice cream scoop, cutlery, plates, bowls, cups, glasses

We currently handle all our guesthouse bookings through Airbnb.
